An amazing program for kids!

WHO WE ARE – we’re a small – not for profit – Alabama theatre company that LOVES sharing our passion for the arts, for theatre, for being creative, with Alabama kids!

WHAT WE DO – we bring a small troupe of actors (from 2-4) to your school. Our seasoned actors perform a thought-provoking, fun, inspiring, and accessible play for your kids. We then run a guided Q&A session – allowing kids to have a conversation about the theme of the play. We then run some fun IMPROV EXERCISES with the kids moving, and creating. To cap off the day’s activities, we run a vocational session on what jobs are available in the theatre arts world and one more IMPROV GAME session to cap the day off.

WHY – we at THE PLAYZ THE THING – have one core belief, it’s that all ART is about storytelling and that we must teach our kids to understand the value of GREAT STORIES. poor stories make the worse good stories m the world better. Our vehicle for this are our plays.

GOALS – introduce the magic of plays and theatre to kids who may never have seen a play.

PERFORMANCE LOCATION – the magic of theatre is that it’s about creativity and imagination, we can perform in gyms, cafeterias, or on a stage. We are pros, we got this.
